Dating back to the early 1980′s More was founded by ex-Iron Maiden vocalist Paul Mario Day. Releasing 2 albums, a few singles and playing the 1981 Donington Park “Monsters of Rock” festival, the band was off on a good start. Sadly, after some line-up changes the band collapsed somewhere in 1982 only to resurface in 1985 for a short lived moment as they did in 1998. No one expected to hear from them again and the fans were left with only 2 killer albums to relive the old days. In 2011, a tribute band called Exmore played the Headbangers Open Air with ex-members of the original band and special guest Chris Tsangarides, widely know for his production work on albums like “Sad Wings” and “Painkiller” for Judas Priest and various albums of bands like Anvil, Helloween, Gary Moore, Thin Lizzy, Bitches Sin, Depeche Mode and others. After some shows under the Exmore moniker the band changed it’s name to More2012 and plays only on selected events. This Heavy Metal Maniacs Festival edition will be one of these events.
